About Me

This is my 26th year of teaching in the Gilbert Unified District.  I taught 5th grade for 9 years at Pioneer Elementary, served as a science resource teacher at the district level for 7 years, and have taught 8th grade science/ honors science and STEM at Highland Jr. High for 9 years.  I graduated with a bachelors of science degree from ASU in Biological Agricultural Sciences (pre-veterinary option), and a masters degree in Educational Media and Computers. I became National Board Certified in the area of Early Adolescence - Science in 2008.

I love to hike and take walks with my dog, Kimba.  When I am not working with and learning from enthusiastic 8th graders, I love going to Disneyland!
