Welcome!

Get ready for an exciting adventure into the realm of science! I am really looking forward to our year of exploration. We begin our journey by digging deep inside of our own planet Earth as we investigate volcanoes, earthquakes, minerals, and rocks. Our journey continues as we blast into the far reaches of our known universe. During our last unit we return to our planet as we learn about the living things and ecosystems that surround us.  Be prepared for a year of fun laboratory activities, science games, and out of this world learning.

About Me

I love Science! I have been teaching 7th grade science at Highland Junior High School for 10 years now. Previously, I taught 7th grade science at Chaparral Middle School for 10 years in Moorpark, California. My college education was spent at University of California, Santa Barbara and I earned a B.A. degree in Aquatic Biology. My Masters in Education was achieved at Northern Arizona University. I currently live in Gilbert. Some of my passions are running 1/2 marathons, hiking on the beautiful trails here in Arizona, traveling the world, creative writing, watching our Arizona Football games, and attending the Phoenix Comic Con.
